Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You would have to have a wifi hotspot. You can get hotspot from your cellular network provider.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I am not into RVing but I can google with the best of them. So I gleaned that boon docking is a term meaning that you are camped away from a site with internet access. Alright, let me tease this out a bit. I am assuming that you have the media on a device like a phone, tablet or PC that you would like to stream to a TV via HDMI. The normal function of this product is to pull or stream media from the external internet. However, there is software out there that can stream local media to a Chromecast. I am assuming this is your activity: to play a file on a computer and have it show up on a TV that is not physically wired to the computer (or phone or tablet). This begs that you have some sort of local network already setup on your RV for when you are near amenities or a SAT internet connection of some sort. This means a modem and mostly a wifi router. If you have a wifi signal in your RV you may be able to connect everything to it regardless of outside internet connection and then use this network to stream internally to whichever devices you need. However, I have not experimented with whether the Chromecast even operates without WAN connection. TL;DR Theoretically it may be possible with an established LAN and Wifi onboard but this is way outside of its normal operation for which it was designed.
