Do I need to put base a chime .. don't have a doorbell null

Make sure that power is sufficient, as some doorbell systems are incompatible or can’t deliver enough power. Alternatively, you can connect a Google speaker or display and set up visitor announcements if you want to get notified when someone rings your doorbell when you’re home. Not sure I quite understand the question, but if you meant do you need something else bc you don’t have a wired doorbell, you really only need your smartphone or a compatible device in your house that tells you when someone is at the door. I have a google nest hub.
