None of the Nest cameras support a wired connection for video. The older one supports a USB power connection, while this one supports a flexible connector that permits power from a line adapter (USB) or a solar panel. Wasserstein (a third party company) make a PoE adapter for about $30, but it's only going to be for power. You'll still use WiFi for the data connection.

The camera is powered by its built-in rechargeable battery or the optional wired power adapter.
