You can view the cameras on your cellphone, ipad, tablet or computer. Nest also offers cloud service for recording and will send you an e-mail or text when you have the motion sensors on. We also have the Nest thermostat and you can also control that via the internet. Very easy setup, and sends monthly reports to your e-mail on energy usage. Hope this helps.

The delay is minimal usually just seconds (3-10 seconds). I was in the Netherlands and was watching my home in what I considered real time. By the way.. Speaking about ADT, have you considered a Simplisafe home security system?
