I use my cameras the same way your talking about. I’ve had no issues placing my cameras in the window facing out. Just have to turn off night mode because of the reflection.

If you use the Nest Cam Indoor outside the approved temperature ranges, which are 32° to 104°F (0° to 40°C), your Nest Cam Indoor might not function as intended.
