There is a setting to increase the sensitivity to sounds, but I'm not sure you can do anything about the sound coming OUT of the camera. I've not seen a setting for that.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I see that you submitted this question seven months ago and I would hope you have an answer by now. But just in case you're still wondering, the camera can be controlled from the app. If you select the camera and then click on the little wheel on the top right you will find all the functionality for the camera. Towards the bottom is sound in which you click on that and you can turn the microphone on and dial the sensitivity. Perhaps my only complaint about this product is the microphone, it doesn't capture voices from across a large room, but if you have it all the way up it will be good for about 15 feet.
