• Mine works through a few walls and about 40 yards from router but that totally depends on your router and wifi signal strength. There are a few apps to check your wifi signal strength on your phone but you can always just walk out there and see how many wifi bars you have. As long as you have any signal you should be ok.

• The range of the WiFi is dependent on the router currently being used in the home. If your WiFi does not reach the barn for your phone, then the Nest Cam Outdoor would not be able to locate the WiFi network from that distance.
