Yes it will work. I had the same issue. My closest connection needed at least 30 feet and I ran an extension under the eaves. It has been working flawlessly.

Hi there, LeighG. There are different options to mount and install your Nest Cam Outdoor (wired, 2nd gen). You can run the power cable to an outdoor outlet or to an outlet inside your home through an existing vent or hole. You can also drill one yourself.
