I purchased the Nestcam Outdoor (Battery) and this weatherproof cable. They are installed but the Nestcam status shows it is running off of battery state and the battery is slowly discharging. Shouldn't this cable keep the battery from discharging? null

I had the same thing happen when I hooked my camera up to the cable but I found out that the outlet in which my cable was plugged into was connected to the light switch for my attic light, also check the way that it connects to the camera, it actually goes in backwards

If cord is hooked up properly to camera, an infinity sign (8 on its side) will show instead of battery percentage.  It is very easy to connect upside down.  I did first one wrong.

I would double check the connection, ouras diesnt show running on battery while plugged into the cable. The cable might be slightly off.

Thats what it’s suppose to do so better check the plug.  Is it switched?
