Yes you can configure the option called open tones on each sensor independently to give an audible tone when triggered and the alarm is disarmed.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yep Nest just released an over the air software update that provides the highly requested Chime feature. It now Chimes when any of the door sensors are opened or closed. Nest Secure and Detects were updated with this feature last Friday 3/23/18. Highly recommend
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Nest recently pushed out a software update that does enable door chime tones, while the system is disarmed.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The multipurpose sensor does not have any audio however you can buy and connect Aeotech Gen5 Siren or similar to make audible alarms.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It should have a door chime feature but unless you have already purchased the system I would advise against it, most local alarm companies and several DIY companies can sell you a professional alarm system from brands like Honeywell, 2GIG, Interlogix/GE, or Qolsys that can be monitored by pretty much any alarm company, are not tied to one company like the nest system. Plus they are gonna last 10-20 years and be very reliable in protecting your home. They also can probably beat the $499 price point for a basic system that will work perfectly. Cellular monitored and all. Anywhere from $25-$40 a month for monitoring is average for that and is in line with Nest and MONI. Shoot even ADT and the Samsung SmartThings system bestbuy also sales is a 2GIG designed panel so it’s professional and is backed by ADT. Also until nest launches the cellular backup and the cell monitoring option the thing is no better than a siren because it’s not going to call a monitoring company and without the cell backup even if you where monitoring it yourself all a crook has to do is cut your cable, Fiber, DSL, or whatever internet provider you have lines outside your home and the system is toast, no WiFi.
