It's a soft tone and then a voice announces someone is at your door. It is also supposed to be able to still ring your mechanical doorbell if you have one. I disconnected mine because my Google Home alerts me.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You may be thinking of a Ring Video Doorbell. Google did not announce any separate chime devices that work with the Nest Hello. However, they did show that the Hello would send audio notifications to Google Home devices. If you preorder a Nest Hello from Google's site, they will give you a free Home Mini with your preorder. So nn that case, they do kinda give you an extra chime.
