I presume they are both equitable and would both have the same issues. If you're talking about security from your end - just ensure that you secure your wifi appropriately and you should be fine.

Ring cloud data is stored on foreign servers. As such, law enforcement has full access to any of your video or audio recordings without permission. So I would say that Ring is not secure compared to Google.
