• I presume they are both equitable and would both have the same issues. If you're talking about security from your end - just ensure that you secure your wifi appropriately and you should be fine.

• This doorbell is every bit as secure as Ring, perhaps even more so if you take advantage of Google's two-factor authentication. Ring cloud data is stored on foreign servers. As such, law enforcement has full access to any of your video or audio recordings without permission. So I would say that Ring is not secure compared to Google.
