Not at all. I added this to my Google Home system. Installed in 15 minutes. Works fabulously.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.There is a monthly charge of $5 or annual discounted charge of $50 for Nest Aware. This provides facial recognition and online storage of Ring video for 5 days. Without this, only live video and notifications are possible. I am in my free one month trial period now for Nest Aware, but plan to continue paying when the free period runs out. It would be nice if Nest would go direct to a personal storage device but it doesn’t. You can save clips to your own device, though. There are longer storage periods, but at a higher price. The charge is a pet-device charge.
