Yes. We have cars go by and it ignores the motion. But once someone heads toward the door it video tapes them. Very clear and works perfectly.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The Nest Doorbell configuration doesn't have any 'sensitivity' or 'range' settings that you can control yourself. Instead, it has two "on/off" settings: 1) Detect Motion? (on or off) and 2) Detect People? (on or off). For my camera settings, I've turned 'detect motion' to off, and turned 'detect people' to on. This does a pretty good job of eliminating false alerts from wind blowing trees and cars on the street. But occasionally it does still trip an alert for someone walking on my driveway even if they're 15 feet from the doorbell.
