• The Nest thermostat does not respond to voice commands but, it is compatible with voice enabled devices like the Amazon echo, and echo dot.

• Yes- I use mine with Google assistant/Google home and I believe it also works fine with Amazon. Once its set up, you can just tell your device (Echo/Home etc) to turn the heat up, down, turn on the fan etc.
