• It can be set to do so however be aware that there is a built in temperature difference of approximately 2 or 3 degrees to prevent the system from switching to often thereby saving wear and tear on your system.

• Yes, it certainly can. Using the Heat-Cool mode on your Nest Learning Thermostat, your system will either heat or cool to try to keep your home within the temperature range you’ve manually set.

• You can choose a HEAT/COOL option where you set a range. For example 65-73. If the temp drops below 65 the heat will kick on and if it rises above 73 the cool will kick on. I love it! Works perfectly. The other options you can choose are: HEAT, COOL, and ECONO.
