I wish I could answer your question more directly, and I'm hoping that someone else can. However, I do know that you can set up the nest protect smoke detectors and link them to Phillip's hue lights to create a similar effect to what you described. My understanding is that with Phillip's hue lights and a nest protect you can set the lights to turn on and change to a specific color depending on the type of event (carbon monoxide or fire).
