That means you need to activate a sim from a carrier like AT&T, Sprint, etc. Otherwise, you are not going to get the extra bonus. I believe, AT&T requires you to add a new line that means you can not use your previous sim. :(

To Activate your phone means to set it using a cell phone company/carrier. You will need to add the proper Sim card into you phone to start the activation process and get in touch with the company/service, like AT+T, Boost Mobile, Verizon, Tracfone, to name a few. Google Pixel's work with Tracfone as well. All you need to do is buy a Tracfone Sim Card, go to www.tracfone. com and sign in and speak with a service person. Tracfone takes many unlocked GSM Phones.

To activate your phone you choose which wireless company you want your service through, this could be Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, Cricket, T-Mobile or any other company you choose. You will not have service to call or use your phone until it’s activated. Hope this helps!
