“I see that i the offer says "when activated", please tell me, does that mean that I would have to activate it with one of "your" carrier's in order to get that price? I am presently signed up with TMobile and would like to stay with them. TKS”

If you are keeping your current service and phone number, you do not get the activated price. The price is $499 when not on sale. I did buy mine on sale right before Christmas so was under that. I asked the in store sales person and they said I couldn't get the lower activated price. I think you have to go with actual contract phone service to get the activated price. If you are using prepaid service, then you pay the higher price unfortunately.
