Are there any drawbacks/benefits to buying the unlocked version and using on the Verizon network, vs the Verizon variant. I plan on staying on Verizon, but dont like bloatware, and in past have used custom ROMs. But don't want to lose any features. null

Yes there are drawbacks- the verizon version has milineter wave- that fancier kind of 5g signal. Regular unlocked does not

Only Verizon variant comes with support of their 5G UW band. Unlocked variant does not have support of Verizon's UW network. However, unlocked variant will support standard 5G on Verizon.
