I'm running GrapheneOS on mine no problem. So yeah, you can unlock it. Not sure what OS you wanna run but Graphene has instructions which make it quick and easy. Now, transferring everything over from your own phone, I haven't solved the best way to do that.

The sales guys know but are vague and contradictory in their responses. so I rolled the dice and it 's locked and Best Buy got my $45. hope this helps others only buying a pixel to run private OS
