Hello there, the Charging Speaker Dock for the Google Pixel Tablet is designed to extend the sound of the tablet when it’s docked. It can't be used as a standalone smart speaker. Check out this link to learn more about the Pixel Tablet: https://support.google.com/googlepixeltablet/answer/13555449
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Unfortunately, it is so. Huge missed opportunity on their part... The dock is a glorified paperweight until the tablet sits on it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.According to an article on Cnet, it does have cast but NO bluetooth
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. As far as i am aware reading up on the tablet its just a charging dock with the added benefit of being able to turn your tablet into a hub while you are charging it its just a charging dock first and foremost.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Unfortunately it is so. There are a few reasons for this: It kept the cost of the dock much cheaper by avoiding built-in WiFi & Bluetooth chips. The Pixel Tablet & the Dock are seen as one item. Lastly, the Dock is designed to amplify the Pixel Tablet. If the Dock worked separately on it's own, there wouldn't be much influence to buy the Tablet itself.
