“Internet AT&T 50 & too slow for gaming for my son. Technicians come out & tell me I’m getting the Internet I’m paying for but his gaming is constantly lacking, freezing etc. will this help boost his connection? PS he is hardwired into AT&T modem”

There is more to answering this question than just your network characteristics. For one, yes, your internet pipe is fairly small for gaming. Consider migrating to at least 100mbps. Further, your son's computer may not be optimized for gaming. Things like graphics card, main processor, random access memory (RAM) and hard disk speed all contribute heavily to your gaming experience. Each game typically comes with a list of minimum hardware requirements. I would suggest comparing what you have with that list. I hope this helps & happy gaming!

Nope no hardware will fix the problem you detail; rather you will need to open your wallet to pay for the increased bandwidth. Also this question underscores importance of supporting Net Neutrality. GOP/Repubs want your ISP to get deeper into your wallet and charge you more for Internet costs and why in part they are against Net Neutrality. Supporting Net neutrality will help EVERYONE's pocketbook, except the Telecom Cable lobbyist!!!
