• They do have sound. You'll need to use different backs on your case to get better sound quality. For example, with a waterproof back, the camera is completely enclosed so the sound quality won't be the best. However, with a skeleton case on it, you'll get pretty good sound quality.

• The gopro is capable of recording sound, although It may be somewhat limited by the housing.
