• Stick with the GoPro brand. There are some cheaper knock-offs online, but the peace of mind we get using the GoPro battery is worth the difference in price. If you've invested $300-$400 in a camera, it seems logical to protect your investment (and warranty) by using the best battery available.

• Buy the charger, it comes with a free additional battery, that way you are always ready.

• Go with GoPro battery,I would recommend the dual charging pack. Comes with one battery and the charger...then you will have 2 .

• Buy OEM batteries. I have used knockoff batteries that were little cheaper however I found that they were difficult to remove from camera. I am staying with Gopro brand.
