You can turn off the voice command settings. Keep in mind, this GoPro has a pretty loud beep when turning on and when you first start recording so that may affect the events you are shooting.

It does use a very specific set of voice prompts to control it so it is unlikely that someone will accidently turn it off by accident if voice control is left on
