• Yes. I returned my Karma due to battery issues however while I was testing it I found that it would still function while I was charging the unit. This means that it will work with an external battery source. Check with GoPro to be sure. They have excellent support.

• I tried but it not worked. You have to leave charging. Make sure you have both, the gopro and the gimbal to ensure more time for recording.
