• It uses the mount that’s directly under the go pro there’s a hole for the camera mount under it.

• Yes, the mounting fingers from the HERO8 Black extend below and through the Media Mod, so you can still connect the HERO8 Black when it's in the Media Mod to nearly all GoPro mounts.
