GoTrax recommends ages 16+ for these e-Bikes. Might be a bit too complicated for 9, with the combination of e-bike, controls, and folding latches. Because the handlebar/tiller assembly is hinged just above the top tube, the grips can only be only lowered to a minimum of about 35" from the ground.
