Is the basket plastic or metal? null

The basket is metal, but easy to clean.

Basket is metal. Coated with non-stick of some sort. The handle is plastic, but sturdy. High quality.

i would say it,s teflon cleans up great

Feels like metal. The outside is plastic. But super easy for cleanup.

It's metal. It's very durable and easy to clean. I usually wipe it down with a paper towel and then drop the basket into the base to soak for a few minutes before I clean it. So much easier to clean than a traditional oil fryer. It's in a whole different class of "easy to care for."
