The GAF556 weighs 14lbs. The GAF686 weighs 15lbs. Outside of the size of the unit there is no difference.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It’s very lightweight; kind of big but fits on my counter nicely. It cooks as many as 5-6 servings. Not being familiar with the 556 model, I cannot tell you what the difference is between the two other than size. I can tell you for sure that it is the easiest cleanup of any small appliance I have ever used. The tray is easy to remove and very little problem with food sticking to it. After cooking, I allow it to cool, then soak for a little while with detergent. It comes clean quickly.
