Thanks for following up. To be clear, the snowblower is NOT 36 inches wide. The 20" refers to the clearing path, and the overall assembled width is only slightly wider than that due to the housing and wheels. The 36" measurement refers to the shipping/packaged dimensions, not the actual width of the snowblower during use.
