Since you hook the unit directly to the water hose, it doesn't run out of water.  The tank you see on the front is for soap, which you can use or not use based on your cleaning application.

Please be advised this Greenworks 1900 P.S.I pressure washer requires connections to a pressurized water source of at least 35 P.S.I (standard for a household waterline) for operation.

Your water comes from the hose that you attach to it. What you are seeing is a tank for soap/cleaning solution.

It holds no water. You must attach a hose for water flow. The small tank is for detergent.
