It has a case to snap on first and then a rubber cover goes over that to protect it.

It has both the hard case to snap onto the iPod and then a rubber protector that goes on top.

This case is more rubber then hard i think it looks good for what it is but there can be more colors to choose from now i would still try to have a little more protection because it is an electronic device and they will break

This is a soft silicone type case over a hard case which completely protects the iPod touch so it won't break if dropped
