“Is a certified refurbished Apple Watch still covered under the 1yr Apple warranty or does the fact that it is refurbished make the warranty not valid? If not is it covered by Best Buy warranty?”

No. It’s out of the Apple warranty limits. Didn’t receive any info with mine in regards to Best Buy or Geek Squad insurance.
