It's only meant for indoor use.

Yes. It could be as long as mounted inside a housing if one is creative and it can be powered up and closely installed near the router!

The camera doesn't mount and there is nothing to stop someone from walking off with it. I wouldn't call this a security camera but more of a room monitor. I love the camera for my use of checking on my kids and seeing who is at the door. Oh and spying on my kids conversations:-)

I don't believe the camera is meant for outdoor use. Also, most any product used outdoors is not 100% insulated from theft as the world has taught us. Sadly, if somebody is determined to steal something, and they have a good opportunity to do so, then most often they'll try to take what they want. I hope that answers your question.
