It definitely supports HDR upto 10 bit. Doesn’t support most of the 12 and up but for $500, the HDR is awesome

This TV does not have HDR. There are three versions of this TV. 1. Smart HDTV. 2. Smart UHD TV 3. Smart UHD 4K HDR. The selection for the $429 is for #2 which is the Smart UHD TV.
