“I was able to see the U7 and have a great image, but is out of my budget. I was not able to see the U6 with a good demo video as the U7. Is the image of the U6 similar to the U7 and the differences are more on the refresh rate, etc.?”

Hi Wizard! Thank you for your interests in this Hisense 85U65QF! This TV has a 144Hz refresh rate, 600 local dimming zones, and 1000 nits peak brightness. 85U75QG has a 165hz refresh rate, 3000 local dimming zones, and 3000 nits peak brightness. If you are looking for a lower budget MiniLED 4K TV, the U6 is a great option.
