• It does not need a computer to run. It will need a Wi Fi connection from you home. You will need to have a device (phone/tablet) with Google Home app installed to configure the Google Home device to your network. It does run off your Google Account for information, if you do not have one.

• Almost totally free-standing! You use the compatible app for setup and accessory features, but other than that it can do everything all by itsef!
