U can upload you library to google music and then play it, you will need YouTube red membership to play it with your google home. Membership is 9 for a single membership or 15 for the family

If you just ask it to play a song, it will try to find it on whatever service you have told it to use (Google Play Music, Spotify, TuneIn Radio, YouTube Music). You can use it as a Cast speaker, but then voice controls will not work for anything other than volume.
