“My modem was recently updated by Comcast. It is hooked up correctly and everything works as it should, excepting my Google Home. Now whenever I try to use it, it says "I can't reach the internet right now." What should I do?”

I would first try unplugging Google Home and plugging it back in. If it doesn't connect I would go into your Google account online and go into the Home section and reestablish the wireless connection to your home internet. This should fix the problem.
