There's an update to this issue. Since Google discontinued Google Play Music and "transferred" it to YouTube Music, even though they transferred your uploaded library from Google Play Music, they have taken away the ability to play music in your library on ANY Google device (a Home device, Chromecast, etc.). It looks like you can if you purchase a YouTube Music subscription - so now, even if you purchased the music from Google and put it in your library, you can't play it on a Google device unless you pay them some more money each month. Oh, and in case you were thinking that you could bring up your music library on your phone in YouTube Music and just cast from there - forget it - you can't CAST from YouTube music without a premium subscription. Looks like they have thought of everything!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have mine synced with my Spotify account. When I use my computer to change songs or play music, Google Home automatically kicks in and serves as the speaker.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Only if the music is uploaded on your Google Play Music account.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, the music services it works with are in "the cloud". You would have to upload all your desired music to google play music, make playlists, and then say, "Hey Google, play playlist XXXXX"
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Not supported at this time, only playing music through the Home's speaker or connected Cast devices like Cast Audio or Chromecast.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.
