Google minis and Google homes have the same exact functionality. The home has a better speaker and mic.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Dot is Amazon. Google Assistant (OK Google) works on either the Home or the Mini. I have two homes and three minis and they all work fine. You can voice train the speakers to recognize your voice vs someone else's. You can make calls on the speakers, but you can't text.
