The water gets unbearably hot and there is no way to regulate
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This does keep the water warm but the heat is not adjustable. I tend to use it for 15-20 minutes at a time. The initial temperature of the water I put *in* the unit is about 105F and after 20 minutes it's usually around 108F-110F (my house thermostat is currently set at 72F). My first time around the water was only about 70F when I put it in the unit and after about 15 minutes it was up to about 90F, so I would not rely on this unit to heat up the water; you should pour in water that is already at your desired temperature. To the reviewer who said it made the water "unbearably hot" I think that's either a function of pouring water into the unit that is far too hot or the unit itself was defective and should be returned.
