“When I turn the unit on (A/C mode) the vent does not automatically open. There is a sticker that says "vent opens automatically when unit is turned on. Please do not force open." Is there a delay for the vent to open? Thanks in advance!”

The manual is incorrect, the vent positioning is manual.

The vent should open automatically, once the unit has been plugged in and the power control button on the control panel has been turned on. There should not be any delay, unless the unit is not receiving any power.
