Let me first start by saying that I was a little hesitant to buy this machine based on reviews I had read that said it didn’t do a good job of cooling or that the machine was super loud. Neither of those were the case. It’s honestly not that loud and it even adds a little white noise. Yea it’s not as quiet as when it’s off, but what do you really expect- silence? As far as cooling, our whole 400 sq/ft apartment gets cool within 10 minutes (1920s apartment in Capitol Hill, Denver, CO). This past week was in the 90°s and it’s cooled off the apartment. Great for sleeping also! Just get this one, you’ll be happy!

Our central air conditioner broke during the hottest part of the summer and the factory was backlogged. We were facing three weeks without air conditioning during 90-100 degree weather. Fortunately, this great portable air conditioner filled the gap. It was powerful enough to keep the whole upstairs cool when we used circulating fans to distribute the cold air it put out. This let us sleep at night. Installation was quite easy. Its packaging and instructions were well thought out. When we were finished using it, we packed it back into its box to wait for the next emergency.

I bought two of these: one for family room/home office and one for living room a week later. They cool both rooms no issue since my house is a cape. Since my family room/home office is larger and by turning on my ceiling fan, it helps circulate and expand the cold air throughout the entire room. The cold air is actually weaker than the window mounted air conditioner but cool enough to make a room feeling comfortable. It's much cheaper to get these than installing central air. The sound level of this air conditioner is much quieter than my last one which is Amcor AF9000E NanoMax Portable Air Conditioner but it's louder than window mounted air conditioner. The design looks sleek and stylish in person. It has wheels on the bottom so you can move it around but it's heavy. I also like the sleek looking touch-screen panel on the unit but the remote control design looks outdated and ugly (Hello? This is year 2020 not 1980!). The air outlet vent on the top can be adjusted by rotating up or down and there's slider inside the vent to adjust the air flow going left or right. The constructions of the exhaust hoses on these two are slightly different. One of them has more parts to assemble while other has less parts to assemble but both instructions show the older design which has more parts to assemble. So you may think that parts are missing when they are not. Overall, I am happy with these purchases.

During a recent heat wave this portable unit was a breeze to install the exhaust in an existing window. Cooled the large living room quite well for a portable unit and was not extremely noisy.

I bought this airconditioner for a top (third floor) condo bedroom in Menlo Park California. I knew it would get very little use, as the climate is dry and the ocean air cooled air arrives at night. But it can get rather warm in the afternoon. My major concern was how to vent it with only a sliding glass door as an option. The opening is 79 inches, and the solution was to use acrylic. I had a piece of acrylic cut to size.. 1/8 th inch thick so the connector would snap in. 6 inches by 79 1/2 inches, and I brought in the connector so they could cut the hole so it could snap in. I love tap plastics.. It looks like it is attached to a window.. And the price was less than $50. The unit is properly vented out the door now, and it starts cooling within a few minutes, taking the room to chilly in one hour.

I live in Hawaii so AC is a must. I never owned a Honeywell before so I researched as much as I could and for the most part there were good reviews. The only thing that worried me was a lot of reviews stated that the unit was loud. I hate loud things especially in my bedroom when I'm trying to sleep, so I crossed my fingers and hoped that this wouldn't be one of those units. So I've had the unit for about a month now and there are two main points to mention: 1. The unit definitely cools a room down quickly. It's still new and I hope it stays this way for years. 2. The unit is pretty loud. It's not all that bad but I do notice that it's a bit louder than the last unit I had, Not sure if it's because it's higher in BTUs but sometimes I find it annoying, most times it's fine. So my suggestion to you if you are thinking about buying this ac is to try it out and see if you can stand the noise. If it's too loud then return it and get another one.

I looked at several reviews before purchasing this one and I was definitely expecting more. When the AC works, it did not cool as much as I expected. I live in a small 550 sq foot apartment and since this AC is suppose to cover 440, I imagined it would be able to cool the living room and kitchen at least. On a hot 95 degree day, the AC kept the room at 85 degrees. Things to consider are I live upstairs so with the heat rising, it may be a little warmer that 95. Besides that on warm days (80’s) the AC keeps my apartment in the 70s which is great.

I recently bought this unit. Installed it in about 15 minutes or less and it got cool pretty quickly. I'm using this to cool my downstairs. Open floor plan about 1,200 sq ft. This unit is only rated for 450sq ft however it does a very good job cooling this 1st floor. No complaints. Of course it's the coolest closer you are to the unit however I'm pleasantly surprised that it does such a good job overall. The remote is basic and easy to use. The on board controls are nice to the touch as well. As always great customer service. They retrieved it for me and loaded in the car for me too. Thank you best buy. You do need to wrap a little duct tape around the exhaust tube where it connects to the window plate in order to seal the hot air leaving the room, but other than that, it's a great unit and pretty easy to set up. Drops the temp down quickly.

I had all my window replaced and they dont work well with window A/C units because they slide sideways. I purchased this unit as an alternative and I am glad I did. It requires the exhaust go out the window but that works fine with my side sliding windows. We have it in our kitchen and it keeps it cool but not big enough to cool the adjoining living room. So we are purchasing one more unit. It is quiet and not bad looking. I am pleased with the purchase.

We purchased this air conditioner for our sunroom. It does a great job. I really like the thermostat feature and remote. Easy set up and install.

We have had this for about a month now. My wife uses it upstairs in her office (our house is old and gets very hot). We can run it hours at a time and it cools the area very well. The noise level is also lower than I thought it was going to be. Overall very satisfied with the purchase

Blows cold air. It is a bit noisy. Also, the duct from the unit to the window is way to short. I needed to buy a dryer venting duct to reach the basement window.

If you want a portable air unit this is it. Very good quality. Cools down area very quick . Works well

Great option and value for the purchase price compared to the tons of use over the years. Remote control adjustment capable. Settings including timed shut off, temp, fan control, etc. Purchased when 1st floor central AC unit died as a temporary solution. Worked so well didn't feel rushed to install new central AC unit. Kids used off & on over the years; able to move around, install with ease themselves. Then 2nd floor central AC unit died, and once again our standby was hooked up. Worked just as good as day one. Not intrusive in size for use in a FR, MBR nor is it too loud. Pics on way back to resting place storage furnace room. Purchased an inexpensive cover help keep dust, etc. out when in nonuse.

New to CA from FL and spent my first summer with no A/C suffering in heat. Wasn't gonna go through that again so I bought this portable A/C unit to cool me off during the hot summer days. I research different brands and eventually settled for this one. Didn't realize it was so big but it seemed ok after I took it out the box. Set up was easy and pretty straightforward. Reading about the unit I noticed the included window kit would not fit my old vertical window so I had to buy an extra window bracket kit from Sylvane to use as an extenstion. Was a little difficult to set up but I managed all on my own. Immediately felt the coolness after about 45min or so. And it is a little loud but not too bad for me. So far so good.. We'll see how it holds up.

This AC is just perfect for my medium size room, easy to install. I like the 3 modes (AC/Fan/Dehumidifier). Can be use in every part of the house. Rated 4 stars because of the minimal noise when in use.

Ok let me be clear i gave it 5 stars for a variety of reasons and i will get into it now amd the Pros of this unit far out weigh the cons Pros: I do live streaming online in my 130 sqr ft room so small and i was affraid the audio produced by this unit but was not disappointed, this unit though only 6 ft from my microphone doesnt trigger it at all even when compressor kicks off. Unit being portable is really convenient and still allows me to make use of of the window on cool nights vs loosing it to a window unit. Run it minimum 5 hrs a day and am 3 weeks in and have yet to need to empty the water tray and this was my single greatest concern, if yours as well dont fear it this unit goes a long time before having to even think about it. My office is on the sunny side of the house and heats quickly along with all the computer equipment and monitors going and this unit does a great job keeping up even on days its 110 outside. Cons: I know i just said it does amazing in the high heat which it does but if your room is not properly insulated which mine is not it can struggle a little keeping the room cool but still maintains a solid 78-80 when 110 out but thats only time ive seen it struggle. Another issue for me at least is i found if back of unit is facing toward where you sleep or you are sitting behind it the unit is vastly louder with the back of the unit facing you, now that is only from the rear of the unit, front facing side has little noise pollution as its well proofed there as i said it doesnt even pick up on a professional grade microphone. Conclusion: I spent 3 months researching wall units and portable units, including multiple honeywell units, this by far is the only one that met my requirements amd it is meeting them splendidly and would not hesitate to buy another down the line and recommend to anyone i meet or know this exact unit and BTU rating. Yes Price tag is up there but using this for over a month now and i mean really working it, it has already earned its worth. Dont think because its pricey its just a giant paper weight, i found through 3 months of looking at Portable units you have no option but to spend a bit more but what you get is quality and comfort. 10/10 Honeywell and 10/10 for bestbuy having a solid review system in place to help make this purchase and i dont review items i purchase from anything, i am only doing this because from start to finish i have been very happy and impressed with this units quality and the info i was able to obtain from across multiple regions of the US to make a very informed decision on my purchase. I hope this yet long review is helpful for anyone else looking to purchase one of these units.
