• The kit is adjustable so it should extend to fit 16 inches. I believe my window opening is about that wide and fits fine.

• This unit comes with a window venting kit that measures 19.7 inches. The bracket is then extendable to 47.2 inches. So if your window measures 16 inches, the bracket will need to be cut.
