“My A/C is in the lowest temperature to 61 but my room temperature won’t get lower than 77. I have a small duplex too and closed all the bedroom doors and windows to trap the cold air. It won’t grt the room cool still!”

Check to make sure that hot air isn't escaping through the exhaust hose between the unit and the window. I had that issue.
