• Greeting everyone, Im sorry to say I've trusted HONEYWELL PRODUCTS in the past,as for this model fan I'm completely disappointed with it.. the only thing nice about it it's very quiet, for the fan speed, it's the worse ,i get more speed outta a cheaper name brand that i can fine in a target ,home depot, store ect,ect.. ,for less money,... well for the people who liked the product, buy a warranty for your back up.... enjoy... • I believe it's all in the stand. I have the quietset with the round stand. Very nice fan.

• Primarily the base. The HS-16ss has a bolt style lock with I like and the Pedestal Fan has a twist lock which feels cheap. Also the Pivot on the Pedestal fan is terrible and will not stay in place where as the HS-1655 locks in place well. Those are the only real differences. They are both very quiet and blow air pretty good.

• Not sure about the difference. But we had to return this fan. It was definitely not a quiet fan. We could hear the motor at night. Worse on the quiet setting (Sleep setting). I would not recommend this fan at all.
