The base is fairly sturdy however the unit may unlock and change in height when moving it. It’s not a super light fan. And can be a little awkward.

The base is sturdy ...but the height of the fan will be set but lifting the fan up and rotating to the right a little ...and the fan height has been resetting back whenever I lift the fan...not sure if that answers ur question.
